About Zen Card
Zen Card bridges cryptocurrency balances to everyday spending on the Visa network, and provides the issuing infrastructure that licensed institutions use to put branded cards in their customers' hands.
What the company does
Zen Card operates the technology, processing relationships, scheme certifications and card-acceptance infrastructure required to issue Visa-branded cards that draw down funded cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances and settle merchant transactions in local fiat currency.
That platform is offered two ways. Individuals can hold a Zen Card and spend directly. Financial institutions and licensed e-money partners can white-label the whole stack, distributing cards under their own brand, to their own customers, under their own licence, without building issuer infrastructure.
How we work with institutions
We own the infrastructure
Upstream relationships, scheme connectivity, processing, personalisation and fulfilment, and the platform technology on top of them.
You own the regulatory wrapper
The licence, the customer relationship, the brand experience and the compliance decision stay with the institution in every programme.

What we are not
Otaro Pay Ltd is a technology provider. It is not a bank. It does not hold a banking or e-money licence, does not take deposits, does not extend credit and does not issue cards in its own right. Cards, accounts, credit and yield-bearing products are provided by licensed financial institutions, subject to their terms and their approval.
We state this plainly rather than leaving it to the small print, because an institution evaluating a vendor needs to know exactly where the perimeter sits before the first meeting, not after the second one.
Who we build for
Banks and EMIs
Institutions that want a card product without a multi-year issuer build.
Individuals
Cardholders who want their crypto balance to work at a point-of-sale terminal.
Merchants
Businesses accepting cryptocurrency payments with settlement in their own currency.
Work with us
Institutions evaluating a card programme can request a scoped proposal and the compliance documentation pack.
